“Fluid dynamics studies the movement of liquids and gases, including their interaction when coming into contact with one another. Los Angeles and New Orleans are two metropolitan areas deeply influenced by their relationships with water, albeit in different ways: Los Angeles navigates its scarcity while New Orleans grapples with its abundance.”
Fluid Dynamics, a group exibition of eight artists, four from Los Angeles and four from New Orleans “manifest fluidity in their work be it in materials, methods, or subject matter. They use it as a lens to explore the shifting power dynamics we experience in society, nature and relationships.” Quoted statements by curator Katie Shanks.
Exhibition continues through Sat., Sept 13, 2025. Closing reception hours TBA.
Other viewing times during regular gallery hours Thursday-Sunday, 12:00-5:00.
